Sylvan House (Abilene) - Before and After

I've been meaning to post this for some time now....
We recently remodeled our house in Abilene and rented it out. I say 'we', but it was more 'Bonham' than 'we'. =) There was a lot of work to be done, but he was able to get it all finished in a little over two months.
We bought this home in March of 2007 and our plan was to remodel it within a year to a year and a half. Almost as soon as we bought the house and started working on it, my commissions went WAY down with Countrywide. Since then, we have been a able to do a little here and there, but nothing major. Since things have been going well at my new job, we have been able to remodel the house with cash - Dave Ramsey would be so proud of us! hahahaha
Because of the way that blogger is and my lack of patience with it and the fact that I haven't blogged in a month and half, these pictures are not quite in the order that I wanted.
Here are the pictures from when we bought the house:
This is the master bedroom (converted garage):
What do you think about these curtains? It was hard, but we took them down....
This was the old master bedroom; also known as Jayna's room:

We started by ripping out the carpet. My thought was that if we started there.... there was No Turning Back!
Living Room (under construction):
The start of the kitchen tile...
The finished kitchen floor:
We tore out the temporary backslpash that we had put up. I should have taken more pictures of the things that we had done in between... oh well!
Bonham prepping the backsplash:
The backsplash:
Isn't it beautiful! We found it on sale and it was just the right color! When we were almost done putting it in, Bonham said, 'We should go get one more sheet of this' They were on clearance and we had purchased them a few weeks before. Oops! When we finished, we had less than 1/2 a sheet left - talk about cutting it close! Whew!
Bonham had to build a new cabinet and drawers for the oven cabinet:
The finished kitchen:
I couldn't get this picture to turn, but it shows the other side of the kitchen =)
Finished Master Bedroom: I wish I would have thought to take pictures of the other side to show no more crazy old, ugly curtains!

A shot of the finished living room/dining room/kitchen entry:
one of the bedrooms:
I wanted to show how much carpet pad we had to use for the house:
The finished entry way:
The start of the master bathroom:
Tile floor complete:
Finished bathroom - not all that impressive, but complete nonetheless:
The back bathroom/aka: Jayna's bathroom:
This bathroom had never been used as long as we lived there. We started to gut it and then stopped. Bonham finished gutting it and these some of the pictures of the process:

WOW! I can't believe that this house finished. It's so nice to know its done and we have a nice family living in there.
