We took some pictures when we got home last night. The goats loved climbing up on the porch and then jumping down. (reminds me of a little boy I know named Barrett)

It was so nice outside last night that we stayed outside and played for awhile. Jayna was headed towards the swing set. It looks really dark in these pictures from the flash on the camera, but we could actually see pretty well, so we let her go swing for a bit.

These goats are twin sisters: Rose (L) and Daisy (R)
Jayna with Daisy and Bonham with Rose. I think Jayna will probably want to be in FFA when she is old enough. She really loves animals.
and I think Bonham wishes that he could have been in the country his whole life raising animals....
This morning: Jayna didn't even get dressed! She put her shoes on and came right outside to play with the goats! Silly girl.
Jersey hasn't been 'formally' introduced to the goats, but I don't think she cares for them too much... she was barking her head off this morning! Hopefully, she will get used to them soon.
I've been trying to catch some action shots. It's so cute how they prance around and try t play with each other.
They will be bottle-fed for the next 6 weeks or so. Jayna has been the most successful at feeding them so far - she is a natural. :) They are drinking whole milk (cows milk)

We had this cage from when we had some guinea hens, so this will work for a little while to keep them contained. Bonham is working on a slightly bigger area. Eventually, they will be in with the cows full-time. The cows came over to check them out.
Rose and Daisy were born on 4/12/12. They are bigger than we thought for their age. The lady that we bought them from said that they are very strong girls and will grow quickly. They can start breeding at 10 months (I think that is what Bonham said). We are going to see how they work out and then we might get a male goat to breed them with. Their mom always had twins, so we expect that they will do the same. Once they give birth, we can milk them. The family that sold them to us let us try some of their goat milk and it wasn't bad. It actually tastes a lot like regular cows milk, but maybe a little thick, with a slightly sweeter taste. She said they make their own cheese and people actually buy it from them and are always asking for more... we might have to give that a try! We're just regular country folk! Hahaha
