I have been meaning to post an update, but I have been so tired and now that Barrett is more awake and mobile, we have more visitors and more things to do. Barrett is doing well. He doesn't like taking all of the oral medicines that we have to give him. :(
Here are some pictures from the past few days...

| When they changed out the central line (the thing on his neck), he had to wear a mask. |
Our niece, Brielle, had an out-patient surgery on Thursday, so she came for a visit! Barrett was so happy to see her. Here are some cute pics from their visit together:
Right before they were going to move Barrett to regular room, they gave him
his own stethoscope to play with. He had some fun with it!
He got to ride in a wagon up to his new room.
You can tell he was in a little pain... they had taken his epidural out.

| Fun! |
Once we got into his room and his meds kicked in, he was happy!
Room with a view:
Nana and Papa brought Jayna for a visit. Barrett was tired and kind of hurting at this point...
Uncle John, Aunt Lacie, and Christian came for a visit.
You can tell he was feeling better by this time!
All of those pictures were from Thursday, the 11th.

We took a little walk down to the playroom...
Chilling in his room and happy to not have any IVs or tubes!
Our sweet friend, Alyson stopped by to see Barrett. She was showing him a video of her twins, Will and Jack. Barrett and Jayna have always loved to watch videos or W&J.
We also had visits from Sonny Burgess (google him - Texas country singer/friend of ours), my friend Bobbie Jo and her mom, Sandy (also our friend and babysitter), Chauncey (my co-worker and friend). We had a visit from another co-worker on Thursday, Tammey. I have been horrible about taking pictures of all of our visitors, but they are all appreciated! The emails, messages, etc. keep coming... well wishes and prayers - thank you, thank you!

If you have a weak stomach, you might want to stop here. The next 2 pictures of Barrett's incision.
Over the next few weeks, these steristrips (sp?) will fall off.
